Pub, Restaurant and Wedding Tours

Should you wish to use Investravel’s taxi, minibus and coach hire services for the purposes of alcoholic indulgence, the prospect of a pub tour arises. A prospect which Investravel are only too happy to help you and your drinking-buddies participate in. Should you wish, on the other hand, to take a large group, for instance a wedding-party, to a restaurant or reception area, Investravel will adjust accordingly and perform their duties with distinction. Weddings are stressful enough affairs without having to worry about transporting tens of people often long distances to a tight schedule – let us do the worrying, and stick to keeping the cake safe from the bride’s nephews.

First things first – the pub tour is a quintessential British ritual, especially considering the vast array of delightful public houses to be found in this country. A pub tour isn’t quite the same as a pub crawl, of course; Investravel do not discourage you from drinking while aboard their vehicles, but a proper pub tour is neither a marathon nor a sprint but a mellow stroll. Any attempts to involve the driver will be firmly rebuffed.

Of course, one motivation for going on a pub tour is not that of drinking but of eating; there are many remote or rural pubs which serve legendarily tasty food. A wedding-party or anniversary gathering will often find itself attending either such a pub or a rural restaurant, meaning that, logistically, it is almost impossible to get everyone there at the same time without use of a coach which can drop everyone off, then leave to park elsewhere before returning after everyone has dined.

Generally, such a gathering will require a coach, and Investravel will be able to provide such a service, but often, a smaller gathering (such as a stag party or a family) will only need a taxi or a minibus. They’ll also need to provide us directions in advance, especially if they’re intending to get to a little-known gastropub located somewhere in the middle of a marsh. However, with a little cooperation and a little driving intuition, we’ll get you there just in time for your reservation, your steak and ale pie, and your local super-strength bitter.
